A 40-year-old Nepalese national, who worked as a sweeper at the JW Marriott, Sector-35, ended his life on the hotel premises on Monday.

Police said the man had reportedly been depressed for some time and in a suicide note, he mentioned that no one should be blamed for his extreme step.

A staff member saw the body in the hotel kitchen and raised the alarm. The victim was taken to the Healing Hospital, Sector 34, where doctors declared him dead. The body is in the morgue of the Government Hospital of Multiple Specialties, Sector 16.

Sector 36 police station SHO Omprakash said investigation procedure has been initiated and autopsy will be carried out on Tuesday.

The victim leaves behind his wife and 12-year-old son.

The hotel did not issue any statement until the report was submitted.
