According to kawasaki.uk.co.in, this new motorcycle from Kawasaki is aimed at younger riders and those who are in the early stages of their riding career. On top of that, the Z650RS is also expected to appeal to those who fondly remember the launch of the iconic Z650-B1 ‘son of Z1’ in 1977. The Kawasaki has expertly struck the delicate balance between old and new, the retro and the current. design team with plenty of smart Z references.

The new model is an updated version of Kawasaki’s venerable 649cc water-cooled parallel twin engine used in the current Z650 and Ninja 650 models. According to kawasaki.uk.co.in, this motorcycle will be available from November 2021. However, the company is yet to officially announce the date from which this model will be available in India.

Focusing on the suspension, front duties are handled by conventional ø41mm forks, while Kawasaki’s high-quality horizontal link rear suspension acts on a preload-adjustable shock absorber. Braking is handled by dual-piston front calipers acting on retro-style 300mm round disc rotors instead of Kawasaki’s usual petal-style rotors, while at the rear a single-piston brake acts on a 200mm rotor, all assisted by Bosch advanced ABS. Tuned in the case of the Z650RS for low- and mid-range response as well as characteristically invigorating high-rev performance, the engine is rated at 68 hp (50.2 kW).

It’s not all done yet! A round LED headlight illuminates the way, while “artillery shell”-shaped dual analog gauges include a digital center stack.

Kawasaki.uk.co.in reports that for the Z650RS, three colors are available with three different styles: Metallic Spark Black, Candy Emerald Green and Metallic Moondust Grey/Ebony.

According to kawasaki-india.com, the price of the Z650 starts at Rs 6,24,000 (ex-showroom price). However, the company is also yet to officially announce the price of 200 Kawasaki Z650 RS in India.
