NAAC team on three-day visit to BBAU | spcilvly

A team from the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) carried out an inspection at Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University on Monday. The NAAC team will evaluate various aspects related to the university until Wednesday.

It was back in 2015 that the BBAU was A-rated and its five-year mandate expired in May 2020. However, the qualification process was delayed due to Covid-19.

In July this year, the university submitted its self-assessment report to the NAAC.

On Monday, in the first session of the first day of inspection, Vice Chancellor Acharya Sanjay Singh presented a detailed report of all activities and achievements related to the university to the NAAC team. He highlighted the achievements of the university in the last 5 years in the academic, sports, research and technology fields, etc.

After this, the director of IQAC (internal quality assurance cell) provided information about the activities of the office to the NAAC team and the team met other employees of the office there. The NAAC team also visited the finance office, controller of examinations office, registrar office and Ambedkar Museum. Registrar Ashwini Kumar Singh also submitted the report to the NAAC team.

The team met with employees from all offices and professors from various departments of the university who discussed the academic field and activities related to the NAAC team.

The team visited the physics, chemistry and mathematics departments and met the students there. Later, the team visited the supervisor’s office, DSW, anti-ragging cell and internal grievance committee.

During the second session, the NAAC team met with the alumni and current students of the university and obtained information related to various areas and systems of the university. The team also inspected the University’s Scientific Equipment Center. And he visited several departments and the student activities center.

The NAAC team gained insight into the university’s official activities in recent years by meeting non-teaching staff. Furthermore, the team met with teachers, students and employees present in these departments and obtained information about the teaching programs, arrangements and achievements of the departments.

The team inspected the university placement cell and took information about the employment percentage of the University. At the end of the first day of inspection, students of the university gave an excellent presentation on cultural programmes, said Rachana Gangwar, PRO office, BBAU.
