According automatic HT, The purpose-built motorcycle receives subtle yet significant changes over the 2016 Himalayan 411.

The Himalayan 452 looks more stylish compared to the previous model (411). The image shared by the Gurugram-based manufacturer on X (formerly Twitter) shows the new bike with USD front forks that have a fork cover. Additionally, the two-wheeler rides on 21-inch multi-spoke wheels with all-terrain tires.

Additionally, the upcoming model has a sleeker fuel tank (although it looks larger), redesigned fenders, and a split seating configuration. ‘Himalayan’ branding is on the front fender, while the fuel tank, side panel and rear fenders feature Himalayan graphics. Meanwhile, the image uploaded by Royal Enfield also shows a raised single exhaust with a chrome panel.

Powertrain and features

The Himalayan 452 is powered by a 451.65 cc liquid-cooled engine that produces a maximum power and maximum torque of 40 PS and 45 Nm respectively. Expected to have a curb weight of around 210kg, the adventure motorcycle has an analogue digital instrument cluster with a TFT display that will display turn-by-turn navigation.

While Royal Enfield is yet to reveal the pricing details, the bike is likely to be priced around $2.80 lakh (ex-showroom). It will compete with rivals like the 390 Adventure (KTM), G310 GS (BMW), Adventure (Yezdi) and the soon-to-be-launched XPulse 400 (Hero).
