The Featured tab in X (formerly Twitter): the feature came into operation in June – pinned posts will soon be added automatically, billionaire Elon Musk, owner of X, announced Sunday.
On the microblogging platform, Musk announced this through a post endorsing the Featured tab as a feature that X account holders should use to ensure their replies don’t get lost in a conversation thread.
“Remember to add your featured posts to the Featured tab. This is a good way to bring to light your responses that would otherwise be buried deep in a conversation thread. Soon, when you pin a post, it will automatically be added to your highlights for your convenience,” said the world’s richest person.
However, it should be noted that the feature is only accessible to X Premium (formerly Twitter Blue) subscribers; X Premium, which costs $8 a month, adds a blue check mark to verify profiles on the Musk-owned social network and offers early access to select features.
What is the ‘Featured’ tab?
As the name suggests, it allows people to save their favorite posts to a separate tab, labeled “Featured,” on their profile. To use it:
(1.) Find the post you want to highlight and go to the three dots in the top right corner of the post.
(2.) Click on the three dots and from the menu that appears, select ‘Add/Remove from Highlights’.
(3.) The post will now be displayed in the Featured tab of your account.
