This week’s UK physical charts are in and despite two major new game releases, nothing has been able to beat EA Sports FC 24’s place at the top of the video game sales league.

While most players are picking up the title on PS5, where an impressive 62% of copies were sold this week, Switch retention has only fallen slightly to 7% of sales, compared to 9%. last week. Not bad. You’ll remember that last week physical sales of EA Sports FC 24 fell by 30% overall, but at least they remain stable. That’s even with stiff competition from Assassin’s Creed Mirage, Ubisoft’s return to the traditional Assassin’s Creed formula, which came in second this week.

In terms of Switch games, everyone’s favorite coffee-drinking yellow mouse is back in Detective Pikachu Returns, which is the second new entry in the top ten and sniffs out the competition in third place.
